Biography

Anna Johnson serves as the Director of Communications and Legislative Affairs for the Department of Conservation and Energy. In her current role, she helps advance public affairs initiatives that support economic growth and Louisiana’s energy future.  Prior to this role, she served as the President of the West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce where she focused on executing economic development projects and political strategies for the Parish. Anna serves on several boards and committees focused on energy, workforce development, education, and community service, including the Center for Emerging Energies, the Environmental and Health Council of Louisiana, the Carbon Reduction Alliance, and the FUEL Education and Workforce Development Committee. Her leadership and contributions have earned her several recognitions such as a 2025 Forty Under 40 honoree, a finalist for the 2025 Louisiana Energy Awards - Emerging Leader in Energy, the 2025 LAACE Advocacy Award, and the 2025 Economic Development Partner of the Year for LABI, among other honors.
