August Martin, Jr. is a seasoned sustainability leader with over 20 years of experience advancing environmental and energy stewardship, innovation, and guiding organizations through transformative change. As the founder of Treme Impact Strategies, August brings deep expertise in sustainability consulting—partnering with mission-driven enterprises and institutions to embed circular economy principles, navigate the energy transition, and lead with integrity and a commitment to inclusive impact. A trained Climate Reality Leader, August is part of a global network of advocates trained to catalyze climate action and environmental justice worldwide. August’s dynamic presence and culturally resonant approach — shaped by a background in comedy and music — bridges policy, community, and creativity. He speaks on topics including climate advocacy, regulatory strategy, and inclusive leadership. August is a proud two-time Tulane graduate—earning a Bachelor of Science from the School of Science and Engineering in 1993, and a Master of Science in Public Health from the Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2000. He also serves as the Vice President of the Tulane Alumni Association Board of Directors.
