Biography
August Martin, Jr. is a seasoned sustainability leader with over 25 years of experience advancing environmental and energy stewardship, product innovation, and guiding organizations through sustainable growth. He brings deep expertise in sustainability consulting — partnering with clients to embed circular economy principles and navigate the evolving energy transition. He currently serves as Principal at Apex Companies, where he advises clients globally on environmental compliance strategy, risk management, and sustainability performance. He is also the founder of Treme Impact Strategies, a mission-driven enterprise focused on leadership development, mentoring, and equitable impact. August is a proud two-time Tulane graduate—earning a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1993, and an MSPH in Environmental Health Sciences in 2000. He also serves as the President-Elect of the Tulane Alumni Association Board of Directors.
