Biography
Cam Poole is Director of Strategy at Newlab New Orleans, a venture platform commercializing critical technologies across energy, maritime, advanced manufacturing, and carbon management. He drives the platform's sector and ecosystem strategy and develops the public and private partnerships that enable startups to commercialize in Louisiana.
Innovation-led economic development has been the throughline of Cam's decade in Louisiana, beginning at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center. As Energy & Innovation Manager at Greater New Orleans, Inc., he helped lead H2theFuture, the region's $74 million federal- and state-backed clean hydrogen initiative, and built the GNOwind Alliance to more than 250 member organizations. Oceantic Network named him a 2025 Ventus Award Next Wave Leader for his work supporting industrial decarbonization in Louisiana.
