Biography
Michael “Casey” Herman is a retired Senior Partner at PwC, where he spent nearly four decades advising leading companies across the energy and utilities sectors. Over his 39-year career, Casey held a range of leadership roles, most notably serving as the head of PwC’s U.S. Energy, Utilities, and Resources practice — a multidisciplinary team spanning Assurance, Consulting, and Tax services. Following his retirement, Casey has remained active in the energy and technology sectors through key governance and advisory roles. He currently serves as a Board Member for CenterPoint Energy, a large multistate electric and gas utility and as a Board Member and Audit Committee Chair at Dragos, Inc., a leading cybersecurity firm focused on critical infrastructure and operational technology. He is also a Senior Advisor to Energy Impact Partners, a venture capital firm investing in solutions that support a clean, secure, and resilient energy future.
Casey’s broader industry involvement includes serving two terms as Chair of the Electric Power Research Institute’s (EPRI) Advisory Council and participating in the Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) Wall Street Advisory Group. He has also held advisory roles with the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business and the Tulane Energy Institute. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Casey earned his B.S. in Management from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where he currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council.
