Biography

Charles Maglione is a Partner in Guidehouse's Communities, Energy & Infrastructure practice with more than 30 years of experience helping electric and gas utilities navigate business transformation, digital modernization, and emerging technology adoption. He advises utility leaders on strategy, operating model transformation, resilience, customer programs, AI-enabled innovation, and large-scale technology implementations. Charles has led transformational initiatives for numerous Fortune 500 power and utility companies, helping organizations improve operational performance, reliability, and long-term value creation. Most recently, he co-authored Guidehouse's thought leadership article, The Cognitive Grid: Infrastructure as a Thinking System, which explores how artificial intelligence can enable utilities to achieve real-time situational awareness, improve grid resilience, and manage increasingly complex energy systems. Drawing on decades of experience at the intersection of business strategy and technology innovation, Charles is a recognized voice on the future of utilities, grid modernization, and AI-enabled energy transformation. Charles holds a MPP in Energy Policy from Georgetown University and a BA in Political Economy from Tulane University.
