Charles Williams

Charles serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Atlantic Alumina Company. Prior to this assignment, he served as Global Head of Business Development and Director of Industrial Assets for Concord Resources Limited. 
He is also one of the founding members of Concord in 2015 (as the COO) having been Director of Asset Development in the metals business at Noble Group, where he helped lead the turnaround of the Jamalco alumina refinery. He has 12 years’ leadership experience in the metals sector and the aluminum supply chain.

Charles also served a distinguished 23 year military career with 16 years in the Special Forces, culminating at the rank of OF 5 Colonel. He led national level strategic planning and held multiple senior leadership roles as diplomat soldier. He also served as a postgraduate lecturer and author in military tactics and strategy. He was twice decorated by the Queen for leadership on the battlefield. He commanded 22 SAS and multinational Special Forces in over 50 countries sourcing shoulder to shoulder with Tier 1 Special Forces for over 12 years.

He has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Nottingham, a master’s degree in international relations from King’s College London, financial and management accountancy qualifications from Briston University and he is a Level 8 Strategic Director and Leader with the Chartered Management Institute.
