Biography
Evan Nicoll is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 1834 Ventures, a New Orleans-based early-stage venture capital firm investing in startups with "Tulane in their DNA." Prior to launching 1834 Ventures, Evan led early-stage SPV investments across digital health, AI, and climate tech. 1834 Ventures has since deployed capital into 12 portfolio companies through the firm's inaugural $20MM fund, anchored by a $10MM commitment from Louisiana Economic Development, and counts 55 investors across 15 states. A triple graduate of Tulane University, Evan currently serves as an adjunct professor teaching leadership and entrepreneurship, and is passionate about leveraging Tulane's national alumni network to grow and retain top talent in Louisiana, attract businesses back to the state, and strengthen the region's innovation economy — including its emerging role at the intersection of energy, technology, and entrepreneurship.
