Evan Polisar
Director of Government Affairs, Energy Group

Biography
Evan Polisar is Director of Government Affairs for the Energy Group at General Atomics. In this role, he oversees the development of strategic objectives and executes initiatives to achieve favorable outcomes at the federal, state, and local levels. Prior to this role, Evan served as the Energy Group’s Director of Public Affairs, where he oversaw marketing, communications, and political engagement activities. He is a member of the Truman National Security Project’s San Diego Chapter.
Before joining GA, Evan served in a variety of capacities in the Washington D.C. office of Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL), including as Communications Director, Senior Legislative Assistant, and Committee Associate during the Congressman’s tenure as Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Rules. During his nine years on Capitol Hill, Evan handled a legislative portfolio that included the annual budget and appropriations process, national security, foreign policy, and energy, and managed a comprehensive communications program to engage constituents and advance Rep. Hastings legislative priorities. Evan has also supported grassroots mobilization efforts in several congressional campaigns. As Field Director for three Congressional races, he shaped and executed outreach strategies to drive voter turnout.
Evan holds a B.A. in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and an M.A. in Military Operational Art and Science with highest academic distinction from the Air Command and Staff College at Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
