Fariba Mamaghani

Dr. Fariba Mamaghani is an Assistant Professor and core MBA faculty member at the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where she also serves on the Tulane Energy Institute Advisory Board. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Science – Operations Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research focuses on sustainable operations, energy economics, and environmental policy, with recent work analyzing both analytically and empirically the challenges of electricity markets, the growing energy demand of AI data centers, and their implications for market pricing and policy. Dr. Mamaghani employs mathematical modeling, optimization, and data-driven methods to address critical issues in energy systems and has presented her research at leading conferences, including INFORMS, POMS, and MSOM.
