George Bilicic

Mr. Bilicic heads the Firm’s global Power, Energy & Infrastructure Group, an effort including power and utilities, oil and gas, pipelines and midstream, all aspects of the “energy transition” and certain general industry clients. Mr. Bilicic’s areas of activity include mergers & acquisitions (of all types), activism and traditional takeover defense, capital structure advice, capital raising (of all types), special committee and other board advisory roles (of all types), restructurings, long-term client advisory work (of all types) and others.
Previously, Mr. Bilicic was Group President of Sempra Energy and President and Chief Legal Officer of Sempra Energy, in each case with broad responsibilities across various Sempra businesses, legal, compliance, strategy and business development, and where he served as a member of the Board of Directors of Oncor and IEnova. Mr. Bilicic also had served as a Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure at KKR where he was responsible for initiating and leading KKR’s global infrastructure investing efforts.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Bilicic had been a Partner in the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore and a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Merrill Lynch. After graduation from Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Bilicic served in a clerkship with the Hon. Murray M. Schwartz (Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware). Mr. Bilicic was an Articles Editor of the Law Journal at Georgetown University Law Center.
In addition to his membership on the Polaris Inc. Board of Directors (Audit Committee, Corporate Governance & Nominating Committee (Chair)), Mr. Bilicic serves on the Board of Trustees of the Mayo Clinic (Audit Committee (Chair), various other committees). Mr. Bilicic is also the Co-Chair of the Edison Electric Institute Wall Street Advisory Group.
