Haley Gentry

Biography
Haley is the Assistant Director of the Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law & Policy. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she attended Vanderbilt University where she received degrees in Public Policy Studies and Spanish, as well as a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. She graduated from Tulane Law School in 2022 with a certificate in environmental law.
Haley's work as a public service lawyer spans many environmental issues and stakeholder groups, directed at forward-thinking solutions that account for the needs of communities, ecosystems, and economies. She has written extensively on water resource issues through the lens of the Mississippi River Watershed and coastal Louisiana. More recently, her work has been focused on gaps in water governance in light of industrial water use demands and economic development patterns.
