Jeanette R. Weiland

Jeanette Weiland is the Chief Business Officer at the Tulane University (TU) School of Science & Engineering. Weiland began her tenure at TU as the Investment Director of Tulane Venture Funds & Assistant Vice President of Industry & Community Partnerships at the TU Innovation Institute. Prior to joining Team Tulane, Jeanette worked in economic development at the New Orleans Business Alliance, managing the business development and marketing teams for the City of New Orleans' official public-private partner organization. Before entering the world of economic development, Weiland worked in healthcare finance with Ochsner Health System after selling her investment advisory practice upon the birth of her first child. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in International Trade & Finance from LSU, and both an MA and MBA from the University of New Orleans.
