Jonathan de Lauréal

A native New Orleanian, Jonathan deLauréal is a seasoned private equity investor with over 18 years investing in high-growth middle market companies across the U.S.  He currently serves as a Managing Director on the investment team and member of the Investment Committee at Bernhard Capital.  Jonathan has been involved in BCP’s investments in Bernhard Energy (NKA Enfra), Epic Piping, Brown & Root, Charah Solutions (NYSE: CHRA), Allied Power, United Utility Services, Gray Surety, Optimum Energy, Apogee, and Delta Utilities. Prior to joining Bernhard Capital, Jonathan served on the investment team at Lightyear Capital in New York, NY. While at Lightyear, Jonathan was involved in all aspects of the investment process, including evaluation of new investment opportunities, deal structuring and execution, and ongoing monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to his tenure at Lightyear, Jonathan was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he worked on various mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and capital raises for clients in the asset management and insurance industries. He brings extensive investing experience, having been involved in over 50 private equity investments, capital markets financings, and corporate advisory transactions. Jonathan received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. 
Jonathan lives in New Orleans with his wife, Marceline, and four children Jack, Daniel, James, and Tess.  When not working or with his family, he enjoys hunting, fishing, the New Orleans Saints, and NCAA football.
