Biography
Josh Fleig is the Chief Innovation Officer for Louisiana Economic Development, where he leads the Innovation Division to foster innovation and entrepreneurship across the state, helping small businesses access award-winning programs designed to accelerate growth and strengthen Louisiana's standing as a hub for high-value jobs. A senior executive with over 20 years at the intersection of technology, economic development, and education, he previously served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Greater New Orleans, Inc., where he led his team to build a project pipeline of over $20 billion across industries ranging from entrepreneurship to future energy and entertainment. During an earlier tenure at LED beginning under the Jindal administration in 2012, he architected a recruitment strategy that sparked dozens of software and digital media wins and co-created the state's Entertainment Development Fund. His media career began at NBCUniversal as a technical producer and continued at SinglePoint (now Bally's Corporation), where he drove interactive TV engagements across CBS, Disney, Viacom, and Discovery. He holds a B.A. in Art History from LSU and an M.F.A. in Interactive Design from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and serves as an adjunct instructor in LSU's College of Art + Design and on the advisory board for Tulane's SoPA Digital Design program. Josh lives in Uptown New Orleans with his wife Amanda and their two daughters, Eva Jane and Eloise.
