Julie Stokes, CPA

Julie Stokes is the CEO of Flame Consulting, CFO of Stokes & Associates, and the Founder and President/CEO of Ellevate Louisiana. She is a CPA, non-partisan policy advocate, civic leader, speaker, and recovering state legislator. During her seven years in the Louisiana Legislature, Julie built a reputation as a passionate advocate for cancer patients and a champion of comprehensive, non-partisan fiscal policy. Since leaving public office in 2020, Julie founded Ellevate Louisiana—an organization dedicated to empowering women leaders across the state by connecting and educating them on the key challenges facing Louisiana. With a strong commitment to data-driven, non-partisan solutions, Ellevate has grown into a premier organization of over 300 members across Louisiana advancing both policy and women’s leadership at the state level. Julie has also continued her advocacy for cancer patients, representing Louisiana Oncology Society at the Louisiana legislature. Additionally, she serves on the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors, helping oversee nine public higher education institutions, and sits on the Executive Committee of Leaders for a Better Louisiana—the state’s premier business roundtable. Additionally, she serves as CFO of Stokes & Associates, where she has helped grow the company from two employees in 1998 to over 50 employees today through strong financial leadership and strategic growth.
