Leroy Brown

Leroy Brown Jr. is a Louisiana ecosystem builder, connector, and strategist who believes community is our superpower. His work brings together entrepreneurs, industry, education, workforce development, and community leaders to create pathways to opportunity and turn ideas into action.

With more than 25 years of experience across healthcare, construction, entrepreneurship, and innovation, Leroy has built a career around recognizing potential, connecting people and resources, and helping founders and organizations move forward. He is also Co-Founder of Climate Culture New Orleans, working at the intersection of innovation, culture, climate, and community.

Leroy recently joined Activate as the Louisiana Science Innovator (LSI) Program Manager. In this role, he integrates Activate’s national thought leadership, network, and resources into the Louisiana's science and research ecosystem to catalyze innovation and commerce, converting scientific missions into statewide impact.
