Biography

Matt Crozat is Executive Director for Strategy and Policy Development at the Nuclear Energy Institute. He directs NEI’s work to identify policy initiatives that improve the economic viability of operating nuclear plants and strengthen prospects for new plant construction. His work focuses on market operations, policy design, and their implications for nuclear energy. He also leads NEI’s strategic planning efforts. Before joining NEI in 2015, Crozat served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Nuclear Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. He is recognized internationally for his expertise on nuclear energy economics and served for more than ten years as co-chair of the Working Party on Nuclear Energy Economics at the Nuclear Energy Agency of the OECD. He holds an M.A. from Cornell University and a B.A. from Tulane University.
