Biography

Matthew is the founder and chief executive of Peaker Energy. Prior to founding Peaker Energy, Matthew lead the crude division for a commodities trading firm focused on developing the firm’s crude supply, logistics, and trading platform.

Matthew worked at Standard Chartered Bank in the Corporate Finance division working exclusively in Energy M&A advisory.

Previous to joining Standard Chartered, Matthew was with the marketing and logistics firm, Plains All American (PAA). At PAA, Matthew was responsible for executing the partnership’s acquisition strategy.

Matthew has worked at several banking institutions in various roles, previously with a big four accounting firm in the financial services tax practice and began his career working at a petroleum refinery as a process engineer.

Matthew serves as the Co-Executive Director and  Board Member of the Crude Oil Quality Association, CFO of the Innovation, Manufacturing, & Energy forum, Member of the American Petroleum Institute (API)‘s Rail Standards Committee and API’s Export Policy Group, and previously served as a Global Advisor to SK Energy, Osaka Gas Corporation, Mitsui, and consultant to ExxonMobil Corporation.

Matthew has a Bachelor of Science and Masters from Tulane University.
