Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper is Senior Counsel, Finance at Fervo Energy, where he advises on project finance, capital markets, preferred equity investments, and related matters supporting the development and commercialization of next-generation geothermal energy. Previously, he worked at an energy-as-a-service company financing energy efficiency and sustainability technologies, including solar, EV charging, microgrids, HVAC, and lighting. Earlier in his career, Michael practiced project and leveraged finance at Milbank, Kirkland & Ellis, and White & Case. He also worked at DISH Network, where he focused on television programming and licensing matters. Michael earned his J.D. from Northwestern University, his masters in public policy from the University of Texas, and his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University.
