Biography

Kera leads development and implementation of key workstreams and cross-cutting enablers that leverage Houston’s energy leadership to accelerate global solutions for a low-carbon future as Senior Director of the Houston Energy Transition Initiative (HETI) at The Greater Houston Partnership. Her work has a particular focus on industrial decarbonization, power management, and advanced recycling for circular economy. She identifies opportunities for Houston to lead the world in decarbonizing high-emitting and hard-to-abate sectors with minimal impact on the regional power grid.

Prior to joining the Partnership, Kera held technical and leadership roles within the global energy industry, including leading and managing projects around the world for Chevron. 

Kera holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Geology from Louisiana State University, along with energy, sustainability and leadership certifications from Columbia, Wharton, and AAPG.
