We look forward to welcoming you to Tulane University this week for the inaugural Future of Energy Forum. Please read the following information in full as it contains important details about the event.
General Event Information
The Tulane Future of Energy Forum will take place November 13 – 15, 2024 on Tulane University’s campus in uptown New Orleans. All venues are conveniently located on McAlister Way in the center of campus. Please see the Tulane Campus Interactive Map for locations and directions. All events are indoors and will happen rain or shine. View the full schedule of events.
On Wednesday, doors will open for the first session at 2:30 p.m. Please arrive before then to get credentialed.
On Thursday and Friday, please arrive by 8:00 a.m. to get credentialed and secure a spot in the room as seating will be first-come, first-serve.
Due to the dynamic nature of live events, times and speakers are subject to change. Schedule changes will be posted on the website.
Registration and Admission
Admission to the Tulane Future of Energy Forum is free and open to the public. Credentials are required to attend all forum sessions.
- All guests must register either in advance or day-of.
- Pre-registration is highly recommended to ensure a smooth experience.
- All guests, including those who have pre-registered, will need to check in and pick up credentials in the Pedersen Lobby on the ground floor of the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life.
- Please bring a photo ID.
Travel and Accommodation
Hotels and bed and breakfast partners around the city offer discounted rates to Tulanians, including parents, alumni, guests and visitors.
Due to limited parking, we strongly recommend using public transportation or a taxi/rideshare to get to Tulane. Drop-off location is available at McAlister Way and Freret Street.
Limited parking is available in the Diboll Garage (2650 Ben Weiner Drive, New Orleans, LA 70118) on the 3rd floor and higher. Hourly parking is available throughout the uptown campus through the ParkMobile app. Hourly spaces run up to two hours and are $1/hour.
Amenities
Plenty of food options are available in and around Tulane during your time at the event, including many dining options around Tulane’s campus. Please note that Tulane Dining is cashless, with credit or debit cards being the accepted forms of payment. Each day will begin with a networking hour at which complimentary coffee will be served.
Accessibility
Tulane University strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully.
ADA parking is located beside the elevators on each floor of the Diboll Garage.
To view ADA features on campus, please view the Campus Map. From there, click on “Uptown Campus Map” and then “ADA Accessibility” on the menu to the left to see ADA parking, ADA restrooms, accessible entrances to buildings, and elevators.
Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed into any of the forum-related event areas or session locations and will be confiscated: flags, banners, signs of any size or type; alcohol; artificial noisemakers (including drums, thunder sticks, or other instruments); fireworks; flammables; laser pointers; sticks; bats; poles; clubs; weapons (even with concealed weapons permit); drones; or any other item(s) deemed unacceptable by Tulane University.
