Peter Dotson-Westphalen

Mr. Dotson-Westphalen brings 19 years of experience in the energy industry, having worked at Constellation Energy, CPower, and now NRG Energy focused on demand response 
(DR), distributed energy resources (DER), and virtual power plant (VPP) services. As Sr. Manager, Market Development, he has championed DR/DER interests within ISO/RTO 
stakeholder groups and before state and federal regulatory bodies. He has also managed wholesale and retail DR portfolios across the ERCOT, CAISO, and NYISO markets. Today, he
currently oversees the MISO market and state footprint. Previously, he held leadership roles including Co-Chair of the Policy Committee for Rocky Mountain Institute’s Virtual Power Plant Partnership (VP3) Chair of NYISO’s Price Responsive Load Working Group, Vice Chair of ERCOT’s Demand Side Working Group, and Chair of Advanced Energy Management Alliance’s New York/New England and Texas committees. Mr. Dotson-Westphalen holds a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont and is a Certified Energy Manager.
