Rep. Paul Sawyer

Paul Sawyer represents the Sixty-ninth District in the Louisiana House of Representatives where he serves on the House Committee on Natural Resources & Environment. Sawyer currently leads a regional flood-risk and natural resources conservation agency in Louisiana's Capital Region. Prior to this position, Sawyer spent 25 years in the U.S. Congress, serving most recently as chief of staff to Congressman Garret Graves, who in his capacity as chair of the House Committee on Climate and as a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, has been and remains a leading voice on energy policy in the U.S. Having served as a chief of staff to another Louisiana member, and in various capacities on The Hill, Sawyer has accumulated a lifetime of expertise on federal policy development and the workings of Congress.
