Roger Jenkins

Roger Jenkins was named President and CEO of Murphy Oil Corporation in August 2013, marking the pinnacle of a long career in oil and natural gas. Roger first joined Murphy in 2001 as a drilling manager in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after nearly 20 years with Texaco Inc. Roger served on the Board of Directors for Murphy Oil Corporation and the American Petroleum Institute and was a member of the National Petroleum Council. He served as Chairman of the LSU Foundation where he has been a board member since 2016.

Roger retired as CEO of Murphy il Oat the end of 2024. He then joined the Board of Directors of Regions Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and an MBA from A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
