Samantha Oblon

Samantha Oblon is a senior at Tulane majoring in Business Management, minoring in Accounting on a CPA track, and pursuing an Energy Finance Certificate. Through Tulane’s Energy Finance curriculum, Samantha worked with the Louisiana Department of Energy and Conservation to assess the economic, regulatory, and operational feasibility of deploying micronuclear reactors on Louisiana military bases.

During the summer of 2026, she interned with FTI Consulting’s Power, Renewables & Energy Transition team (NYC), where she contributed to valuation and project finance models and developed a multi-year Virtual Power Plant and behind-the-meter strategy for a large utility. Previously, Samantha interned as a Private Equity Analyst at Energy Capital Partners (NYC), where she supported deal valuations, researched energy markets, and evaluated potential investment opportunities.

At Tulane, Samantha serves as President of the Tulane Energy Club, leading more than 90 undergraduate and master’s students and organizing opportunities for students to research and engage with the energy industry. She also serves as Director of Consulting and Chapter Vice President of TAMID Consulting, where she has led student consulting teams working directly with investment firms and startups. Additionally, she is a senior mentor in Women in Business, sits on the leadership board for the Tulane Consulting Group, and teaches swim lessons for low income families through the Swim-4-Success program. Samantha is a student representative for the Tulane Energy Institute and works closely with Freeman faculty to support events, moderate panels, and represent Tulane’s energy programs.
