Sophia Winston

Sophia Winston is the Energy Policy & Program Manager within the City of New Orleans’ Office of Resilience & Sustainability. In her capacity, Sophia oversees policy creation, program implementation, and grant funding opportunities related to sustainable residential, commercial, and utility scale energy initiatives. Prior to working in the Office of Resilience & Sustainability, Sophia was a Program Manager at Green Building United where she directly managed the City of Philadelphia’s Building Energy Benchmarking program, along with other programs related to fostering a more sustainable built environment. Sophia holds a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of City Planning with a focus on Land Use & Environmental Planning from the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design.
