Biography
Timothy J. Poché is the Chief Executive Officer of Delta Utilities, a leading natural gas distribution company on its way to serving 600,000 customers throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. As a seasoned executive, Tim excels in high-growth environments and complex organizational transformations.
At Delta Utilities, Tim is facilitating the transition of five regulated utilities into a new corporate structure, establishing capital frameworks, and leading the integration of 700 existing employees with 200 new hires. His leadership spans regulatory activities across three jurisdictions and comprehensive risk management operations for the organization.
Prior to joining Delta Utilities, Tim spent eleven years as Partner, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer at Bernhard Capital Partners, a private equity firm where he helped grow assets under management to more than $3.4 billion across three investment funds. Among his notable achievements, Tim led financial due diligence and deal structuring for more than 46 acquisitions with a combined enterprise value exceeding $3 billion.
Previously, Tim served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at The Shaw Group and as Chief Financial Officer of Shaw Power, where he facilitated strategic mergers and acquisitions culminating in the $3 billion divestiture of the business at a 70% premium to market. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he became Partner in 2001 and served as Lead Client Services Partner for multinational Fortune 500 clients in the energy sector.
Tim earned his Bachelor of Science with concentration in Accounting from Louisiana State University and maintains his Certified Public Accountant license in Texas and Louisiana. His community leadership includes serving on the Woman's Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and membership in both the New Orleans Business Council and the Committee of 100 for Louisiana.
