Tracy Evans

Biography
Mr. Evans is a Founder of CapturePoint and has served as Chief Executive Officer since company inception. Under his guidance, CapturePoint is defining the leading edge of carbon management services and pioneering the creation of onshore deep underground carbon storage hubs in the United States.
During his career, Mr. Evans has been at the forefront of the CCUS frontier, leading several large-scale CO2-EOR and CO2 pipeline projects. At CapturePoint, he has built teams to identify the next generation of carbon storage sites and to assemble the financing and resources necessary to make permanent, safe CO2 storage a reality. He is a nationally recognized trailblazer in carbon management, and he maintains company relations with international, U.S., state, and local partners.
Mr. Evans was on the senior management team of Denbury Resources (NYSE: DNR) from 1999-2011, including serving as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2009-2011. Prior to Denbury, he held various management, technical, and operations positions with Matador Petroleum and Enserch Exploration. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Discovery Natural Resources and as the Management Director on the Board of CapturePoint. Past board appointments include Inventys (CO2 capture technology), Genesis Energy midstream services (NYSE: GEL), and Encore Energy (NYSE: ENP).
Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Texas at Dallas.
