Biography

Billy Landuyt is currently the U.S. Gulf Coast Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Business Manager at ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions.  Dr. Landuyt earned a B.A. in Physics and Math from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Ph.D. in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University. Dr. Landuyt has held multiple positions at ExxonMobil, including earlier work as a geoscientist in ExxonMobil’s Production and Exploration Companies and Research Scientist focused on Global Climate Change at ExxonMobil Research and Engineering.  Later assignments include roles as an Energy Advisor in Corporate Strategic Planning focused on projecting energy demand in support of ExxonMobil’s Energy Outlook and Natural Gas Market Developer for the Americas and Africa as part of ExxonMobil’s Upstream Company. Subsequent roles focused on leading ExxonMobil technology organizations focused on research innovations in support of upstream, downstream, and low carbon value chains.
